First Solve Prizes

  • Awarded to the first participant to solve each problem.
  • For problems not solved during the contest, this prize will be awarded to the first person to solve it after it is uploaded to the Baekjoon Online Judge (BOJ).

Special Prizes

  • To be announced at the awards ceremony.

Rules

  • Each team must bring their own computer, power supply, and writing instruments.
  • Only one computer is allowed per team.
  • The use of dual monitors is not permitted.
  • Bringing more than one keyboard is allowed, but using multiple keyboards simultaneously is prohibited.
  • The contest will start at 13:00 and end at 18:00, but it may be delayed or extended at the discretion of the contest staff in case of unforeseen circumstances.
  • There will be between 10 and 15 problems. The problems are sorted in ascending order of their English titles.
  • Leaving the contest venue mid-competition is possible, but you may be excluded from certain awards.
  • The contest will be held on the Baekjoon Online Judge (BOJ). Please see the “Judging Environment” section below for details.
  • Only the programming languages available on the Baekjoon Online Judge can be used during the contest.
  • All problems are guaranteed to be solvable using C++17, but solvability in other languages is not guaranteed.
  • There will be at least one interactive problem and at least one two-steps problem.

Registration Rules

  • All teams must complete registration by 12:30 on the day of the contest. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  • All participants must bring a valid photo ID (Resident Registration Card, passport, or driver’s license) for registration.
  • Teams are classified as “Internal” or “External” based on the following criteria:
    • Internal Team: All team members are affiliated with KAIST (including students on leave and graduate students) as of the contest date (October 26, 2025).
    • External Team: At least one team member is not affiliated with KAIST as of the contest date.
  • For Internal Teams, all members must present their KAIST student ID (or another document proving their affiliation with KAIST). Otherwise, the team will be considered an External Team.

Team Reference Document Rules

  • Each team may bring a team reference document of up to 25 single-sided pages with a font size of 5pt or larger.
  • Up to 3 identical copies of the team reference document are permitted per team.
  • Team reference documents will be inspected during registration before the contest begins.
  • Viewing the team reference document on your computer or any electronic device is prohibited.

Anti-Cheating Policy

  • During the contest, you are not allowed to view or use any code written before the start of the contest, other than language reference or your team reference document. This includes any type of code that could indirectly help in solving the problems.
  • All internet usage is prohibited during the contest, except for accessing the contest platform. In particular, the use of generative AI (LLM) for any purpose will be considered cheating.
  • IDE autocompletion features are allowed, provided they are not based on generative AI.
  • Applications not covered by the above rules (e.g., calculators, notepads) may be used freely.
